After getting 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th, but with the runner on 2nd advancing to 3rd, Sanmartin walked Oneil Cruz. The strike zone-challenged Reiver Sanmartin was relieved by Ryan Walker. It's a day of temporary force fields around home plate.
Walker, not to be outdone, tossed 3 pitches of his first 5 wide of home plate, one that was headed for Connecticut. Catcher Drew Cavenaugh handled it, and the batter, Esmerlyn Valdez, thereafter struck out.
Still 3-1 Giants.
-
The Giants scored twice in the top of the 5th by playing small ball. Giants 3-1.
Reiver Sanmartin took over for Landen Roupp in the bottom of the 6th, immediately giving up a double.
-
The Giants took an early 1st inning lead via Rafael Devers' 32nd HR of the year.
Meanwhile, with 1 out in the bottom of the 4th, Landen Roupp had misidentified the strike zone as a force field, and could not penetrate it, walking the bases loaded after 2 singles. After inducing a popup for an out, the force field returned, as he walked Valdez, tying the score at 1. Flores grounded out to end the inning.

For those who follow me for news about my games, I’ve released a new set of Dungeon Hero adventures.
It’s called “Skull and Crossbones” because the theme is PIRATES!
It’s inspired by a YouTuber named HollowPonds who’s been playing a Dungeon Hero adventure every Talk Like a Pirate Day, as a pirate character, for years. Now he has actual piratical adventures to go on!
Pay what you want for first three, $3 for all four.
