Last #pintxo before I leave #Donostia - para llevar!
I usually don't have breakfast but it's 11 so I guess this is lunch. But what an exquisite tortilla de patata!
(From Adamo - they have other locations - all good I hear and also other kinds with add-ins but the plain one is 😘✨)
Totally exquisite. After sitting by the park bench outside the church I came back to watch how they make it! (Will post if I can recreate - but don't ask how much oil) -
It's been not too expensive so far in case your wondering.
€10.10 and 13.50 - both with wine at the first 2 pintxo stops. 1 more stop and that will round out lunch for today -
1/2 - First stop - Bar Ciaboga. For the platillos de patata. They didn't have the tortilla so I went with the trampis (shrimp in mushrooms). The potatoes were soft with a hint of garlic and a tiniest bit of thin crunch from when it hit a hot pan I'm guessing. The mushrooms were full of flavor, soft and cooked and had absorbed some of the shrimp and olive oil flavor as well.

"... ineffective at cleaning greasy fingers... "
He's talking about the "servilletas of the Iberian peninsula".
But he's using them WRONGLY!
They are NOT for cleaning fingers.
Use them to hold your tapa / pintxo and your fingers NEVER GET GREASY in the first place! For this, they work really well.
Locals know this. I learnt by observing locals in Porto's tascas.

🚉🕔 It's #Bahnzeit at Donostia-Amara - #Euskotren's main station in #Donostia / #SanSebastian. Especially the railway station restaurant is a wonderful place for a quick #Pintxo🥪 or another refreshment 😍!
💡 Euskotren is the Basque public railway company, officially established in 1982 to operate several 1,000 mm narrow gauge railways inside the autonomous community of the Basque Country.
