I don't think I'd guess Pinot Blanc blind, but that's another issue. It's friendly, but there is acidity in the back that counters mildly off-dry and fruity nuances. It's a perfect porch-sipper. In the “let’s reduce alcohol” genre, call this a success, if pricey ($27): tastes good, tangy finish and some structure. Screwcapped. Where it goes, anyone's guess, but a pleasing if straightforward effort. Stamp of L202501 from 2024 fruit.

Today's mini comparative #wine tasting is #pinotblanc again: 2020 Kirchberg Weissburgunder by Klumpp vs another vintage of a wine I've had before: 2021 Pinot Blanc Alsace by Domaine Zind Humbrecht.
Not too dissimilar, but Klumpp is a clear winner to me - crisp, elegant, very well balanced and simply delicious. Not to say Zind is bad, because it's not at all - they're both nice, but I prefer the Weissburgunder.
