Just made my first gear up belly landing in my #Xplane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision jet on RWY 08 at KDEN. Haven't flown in a while, fair amount of distractions tonight. I did however make it off into the grass so the airport and runway remains open.
Pretty sure it will buff out. No pics, you can imagine what carbon fiber sliding along asphalt at 100 kts might look like. (Hamburger).
Now to call the boss.

This morning:
- I arrive at the airfield
- booked aircraft isn’t there (it’s still at another airfield and was forgotten to be returned)
- Called a colleague for a flight taxi
- Was then flown to the other airfield as a pax
- Took over the aircraft and flew back
- On approach home, a call that concrete rwy was closed due to an accident
- Landed on a really bumpy grass runway...and all this after a 6-week break from flying, in a plane I hadn’t flown in 3 months 😅

Wichita Reflections - a few photos taken on a layover run when the light was flattering and the water was amazingly still.

I was just digging thru an old junk drawer and came across something I thought was long gone.
It is a vintage aviation chart dated 1947 for the Lewiston, Maine area. Super cool that it shows the radio range courses. That is some old school navigation right there.

So I had to scrap the Piper PA-18 Super Cub I was using to try and fly to all 32 of Idaho's backcountry airstrips in my #XPlane #flightsim. Flying characteristics were horrible. Any time at any speed you tap the brakes and it nosed right over. #FAIL
Flying the rest of the mission in a 1975 Cessna 180J Skywagon. It has a 230 hp Continental O-470-S engine, and an actual working autopilot. Great STOL performer.
