I Hate My Teddy Bear by David McKee (1982) reads like a typical picture book happening in the middle of a Terry Gilliam animation. Two children are sent out of their flat to play in the nearby park. They brag about what each of their teddies can do an later after playtime is over we see the teddies talking to each other to learn how much of that braggadocio is correct.
