Finally found the time to install a #PicoBoot into my #Nintendo #Gamecube. Wanted to do that for almost a year since the optical drive is on its last legs. It still works and I want to retain the possibility of using real discs, but the laser had to be tweaked to its maximum already for it to still read discs. So not much life left in it probably.

Anyway, now it boots directly into SWISS from an SD2SP2. 🥳

Quite a tight fit, however.

Finished a #picoboot install for someone. Got me scratching my head for a while, it just would not detect it. After googling a bit I found someone with a similar problem who solved it by downgrading to picoboot 0.3 (from 0.4). That worked for me. #retrogaming #gamecube

Slowly getting my soldering mojo back by modding my #Gamecube with a #PicoBoot.
Finally got it to work after noticing the solder jumper on the back for the 3.3V supply.🙄

Decided to upgrade my #Nintendo #Gamecube with a #PicoBoot mod (has a Xeno atm). And since Picos are so cheap, why not get a few more...? 😉

También mi pobre #GameCube, que le costaba un huevo leer discos, le he añadido el mod del #PicoBoot para poder cargar #Swiss directamente sin usar el lector, aunque como al final he aprovechado el desmontaje para calibrar el potenciómetro, ahora los pilla todos a la primera.

Dos nuevas #GameboyCamera compradas, y mod de pantalla para la #GameboyPocket y mod de #PicoBoot para la #Gamecube encargados. Mi proyecto de convertirme en fotógrafo gameboy está en marcha.

So, this #Gamecube #PicoBoot is amazing!
If you pull the SD card, the GC starts and behaves like unmodded, you can boot quickly into up to 4 different homebrews (or bypassing it) by a press of the button.
My favorite use by far: you don't need the 60+€ #GameBoyPlayer boot disk anymore!
