Back in Indiana, growing up, #blueberry #picking was a way to save money and get affordable berries that were usually out of reach financially for us. Since we no longer had to pay for labor to pick them and the cost of travel and distribution, it was a nice discount. We went blueberry picking here in Philly, and the price per pound was a bit steep, but I believed we were getting a discount. I went to the store, not even Aldi, mind you(they are always cheaper), and they were cheaper per pound than the ones I picked for myself. Apparently we are getting paid in experience and exposure to pick blueberries ourselves, and perhaps offset all the berries we were eating in the process. Either way, there goes another activity that's going to cost more than not doing it and paying someone else to do it. Sigh -
