I want to mention that #picaTheCat came from the very same streets as the raccoon. She was living behind an abandoned building scamming people for free food when I found her.

The raccoon has returned. #picaTheCat was displeased. I'd been putting off putting a motion sensing light in the roof garden, but I'm not putting it off anymore.
I live seven floors up in NYC this is not what I'd expect. But, they can climb from a tree to the fire escape.
I do not trust this raccoon any more than Pica does.

I added a photo of the vegetable garden criminal that my husband got while I was helping #picaTheCat to calm down.
She was exceptionally angry to see this cute creature.
I hope it will move along and stop coming to the roof. I will walk around today and try to determine why it's up here. It could just be the water from the bird bath. (our garden is too tiny to feed this creature, it must have a way to get garbage too.)

I wake up to #PicaTheCat hissing and spitting at the door to our porch. We are 8 floors up and there is a raccoon looking in at Pica and she's MAD.
The raccoon didn't see me on the couch. But it wasn't that scared of Pica through the glass. It seemed curious about what might be in the apartment.
I stood up, and the raccoon ran, Pica was delighted and is still strutting around.
She's a good guard cat.
