@TheConversationUS I have sleep problems and wake up frequently in the night anyway. At least when I do wake up I can feel this lovely, gentle #pibble mix nestled beside me. Feels like all is right with the world.
Cats don't interrupt my sleep because I don't have any. If I wanted a roommate that consumed resources but otherwise ignored me I'd still be married. :-P

As I was watching last night's #SuperbOwl, my #dog and my wife's dog were laying next to me on my couch. At one point, my wife's dog decided to use my dog as a place to rest her head while she stared at me (she was probably wondering what the commotion was).

I occasionally try to get my #staffy, Gryffin, to sleep on the pile of pillows next to my side of the bed (as hist #pibble predecessor, Lady — pictured — did). However, he's very much, "nah, I'm good: this crate is cozy."
Both Gryff and Lady are/were "velcro" dogs. Used to refer to Lady as "hip-lamprey". Gryff might be even more clingy than she was: she was satisfied to lay on the couch against me, Gryff generally prefers to lay on me. Yet, for all that, he prefers his crate for overnight sleeping. -

Adopted him last June. He's soooo sweet but raising an XL Bully who is under two years old is like raising a three year old boy who is also fourteen.

Glad I snuck in a visit when I went to bury Walt in March. Wish I could hug Jessie (her person), Maggie is her #HeartDog.

It’s #Mondog already?! Time to give some love to my senior pibble, Blondie. She’s a rescue who guarded our junkyard for 12 years or so and is now retired and living her best life on the couch. She has NO IDEA there’s a newly rescued cat and four fresh kittens in the same house! 🤭
