Lange Zeit einen pihole im Netzwerk gehabt.
Gestern dann abgeschaltet, um die piholefunktion in der neuen Laborversion der FritzBox zu testen.
Die Konfing in der Box neu angepasst.Plötzlich gingen sämtliche Waipu TV Sticks 4k nicht mehr.
Lange gesucht.
Lösung: Waipu vom Strom trennen, damit die neuen DNS Einstellungen übernommen werden.
WLAN Verbindung kurz trennen reichte nicht aus2 Stunden meines Lebens verloren.

What I pasted was filtered Wireshark packets for just regular DNS lookups. At the time, I was wondering if I had apps installed that used DNS that I didn't configure, like hardcoded to 8.8.8.8 or something stupid like that.
So likely whatever Apple was doing is a regular DNS lookup for the address in which to use DNS over HTTP over for further lookups, which feels like a nice new filter to throw into Adguard!
Block doh.dns.apple.com or rewrite it to point to Adguard itself.

Nach 3 Jahren bin ich dann mal weg.
Weg von #NextDNS . bin da gelandet weil mein raspi mit #pihole abgeraucht ist und ich keine Zeit hatte alles neu aufzusetzen. Kein backup, kein Mitleid. 🤷♂️
Jetzt bin ich weitergezogen und bei #AdGuardHome auf einem raspi gelandet.
Nett, ordentlich strukturiert, verständlich aufgebaut, einfach zu installieren.
Mal schauen wie lange ich bei adguardhome bleibe bevor ich vielleicht wieder etwas neues entdecke. -
Ugh. So in the latest version of iOS there’s something called Connectivity Assist. If you’re running a #PiHole or similar then this seems to be bypassing it by instead routing the rejected requests over mobile data instead.
Even the text below the setting says you should probably turn it off if you’re running an ad blocker.
