  37. Asparagus growing in the UK. It seems like I might have problems with phytopthora and fusarium. I planted 12 crowns in spring 2021, only one now survives. I also planted seeds and I am growing on the plants in pots. Are there any other gardeners on here who have dealt with this? Advice on companion planting. I have heavy clay soil in Sheffield, 200m up, cool site. I am using woodchip and compost to lighten soil. horticulture.ahdb.org.uk/news/
