Good thing I boiled it in water and drained it instead of grazing on it raw in the field like a horse. Standard cooking eliminates a large portion of water-soluble phytates anyway. Unless you're living exclusively on raw birdseed, the 'negative mineral' apocalypse is mostly an internet myth—phytic acid only reduces absorption for that specific meal, and it's actually a great antioxidant!
