The big news here being that #NVIDIA is continuing open sourcing their stack. Now #PhysX seems to be fully - if not mostly - #OpenSource, under the #MIT license no less.
The thing here is NVIDIA realizing that their biggest clients are server farms and compute operations, who famously want control over their own #software - which is why #Linux became the standard.

Me parto con #Nvidia, de verdad. Ahora sus gráficas de serie 50xx dejan de tener soporte para #PhysX, algo que llevan colando demasiados años y que diría que para los resultados que ofrecía no estaba nada bien optimizado. Aun así, cortarlo de pronto será una pena para quienes quieran probar por una vez a no jugar siempre lo último que se estrene.
Comprad gráficas #AMD, en serio. Llevan años mereciendo mucho más el coste. -

Куда ушла Физика из игр? Как карты от Nvidia работали в одном корпусе с AMD? И как это связано с последующим прогрессом?
Честно говоря, это должна была быть небольшая заметка о том, как при помощи старых драйверов можно помирить две видеокарты. Заставить одну рассчитывать физику, другую рендерить картинку. И при помощи железа 2008-го года запускать на топовых настройках игры вплоть до 2013-го года… Но что-то пошло не так, и это что-то, заставило покопаться в теме чуть-чуть глубже. Как всегда, статья полная дилетантских размышлений, бредовых идей и "розовых" фантазий от непрофессионала. 🤪🤪 Какой изврат! 🤪🤪
