Was deployed to U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for almost a year in 2008-09 and whenever I had the chance, was down by the seaside. Now, it’s on deck here in northern Wisconsin and the sounds of the evening.

"Kashmir" is a song by the English #rock band #LedZeppelin. Featured on their sixth studio album #PhysicalGraffiti (1975), it was written by #JimmyPage and #RobertPlant with contributions from #JohnBonham over a period of three years with lyrics dating to 1973. #JohnPaulJones was late arriving to the studio for the recording sessions, so he did not receive a writer's credit. The song became a concert staple.

SiriusXM’s Classic Vinyl channel is doing a countdown of 400 tunes subscribers voted for as part of a “Fourth of July” speel. I didn’t listen to the whole thing - caught bits of it while in the Edge today. What I catch was Led Zeppelin had the more tunes -22 of em - than any other band. This was one.
