My favourite bits of the conclusion are that optimally playing MtG is at least of order 0(omega) (lol), and that you *could* in fact force a solve of the halting problem in a real tournament. If I still played, this would quickly become my life goal 😂😂 #MtG #HaltingProblem #Phyrexia

I learnt this while having lunch with my technical team, and I realised that none of them were so deep into computer science to get how awesome this is 🥲 sooooo hopefully there are computational complexity peeps out there that can go “omg wow” with me 😃 #MtG #HaltingProblem #Phyrexia

Omg. Someone has proved that Magic the Gathering is Turing Undecidable, as you can create #MtG games of forced moves that solve the #HaltingProblem. This is of course impossible, meaning that the end state of a game *with totally deterministic, forced moves* is indeterminable by computation.
In the literature, that makes MtG the most computationally hard game known. This should explain why #Phyrexia never won, cause machines can’t predict how a battle between planeswalkers will play out :P

If you are into #MagicTheGathering I also have a bunch of MtG stickers for when you need a Farewell not drawn by a terrible person, a bottle of Phyrexian oil for your ramen, or a sticker that only makes sense if you are a fan of Dandan.

Evening all!
Day job is keeping me busy with curveballs at the mo, but it’s all interesting stuff. And I’m still able to hit the gym regularly, so I’m pleased there too.
My #MagicTheGathering #Phyrexia Compleat Bundle surprised me when it arrived today. The oil slick cards look amazing, and I can definitely see them going into a deck. The rest of my pulls aren’t bad either!

Phyrexians are honestly one of, if not my favorite fictional cultures/peoples/languages/villains/aesthetics...
30 years of evolution from a race that believes themselves perfect. From art influences to linguistic translation of their own language, WotC truly made something amazing here.
I legitimately await the day the language is fully translated because I would love to learn it.

Since some people were asking, here’s a link to my MTG Commander Atraxa Toxic deck. It’s built using cards I picked up from prerelease, plus those I had on-hand, and would benefit from some investment.
It works with a simple goal: get over or around your opponents defences to poison them early on, then rapidly proliferate to take them out.

Evening all!
It’s been a busy day at Chez Gazz, but I’m recovering with some time at my #FLGS. Trying to get some trades done to beef up my #MagicTheGathering mono red deck.
I’m also starting work on an Atraxa toxic/proliferate deck using a bunch of cards from the new #Phyrexia set. Although I get the feeling that poison is going to get nerfed by the Commander community.

Morning all!
This morning was spent processing last night’s #Phyrexia #MagicTheGathering haul into rares/mythics for my collection and for trade. I really need to find a decent website (ideally with companion iOS app) that will help me index and catalogue all these. Suggestions welcome!

So today’s been an amazing haul at the #MagicTheGathering #Phyrexia #AllWillBeOne prerelease event!
Yes, I picked up a few extra packs alongside the prerelease event ;)
Oh, and I came 2nd in our pod with a super simple white-black deck that went heavy on cheap removal and cheap toxic creatures. Don’t snooze on toxic!

Morning all!
Today is Friday, which means it's prerelease day for #MagicTheGathering #Phyrexia - All Will Be Won! I'm going to be heading out to a prerelease sealed event later, and I've got my fingers crossed for some of the amazing cards in this set.
You can find the whole card set on @scryfall here - I'm hoping I might strike it lucky with one of those oil slick foils! https://scryfall.com/sets/one
