For reasons I am on the 45th floor and my lift moves at ~5m/s, hitting 2 m/s^2 to a height of 150m.

die breite Hardware-Palette abdeckt, wie das noch vor wenigen Jahren der Fall war.

Jetzt sitze ich hier mit ein paar Smartphones und Tablets, die offenbar wirklich outdated sind und frage mich, welchen sinnvollen Verwendungszweck es dafür noch geben könnte. Am liebsten wäre mir etwas mit #gemeinnützig|em Hintergrund.

Ich möchte zwar auch schauen, ob man die Geräte nicht teilweise für Experimente an der Schule selbst verwenden könnte, z.B. mit #phyphox. Aber dafür brauchen wir nicht alle.

#Verkehrswende ist überfällig!

Mit dem Beschleunigungssensor in #phyphox, bei gleicher Geschwindigkeit für beide Strecken, mit dem #Fahrrad aufgenommen. Am Ende der Messung sind die Bahngleise gut auszumachen.

Heißt somit auch wieder Elektroschrott und fehlende Unterstützung alternativer Betriebsmodelle...

Für genau solche Beispiele spanne ich mein Handy horizontal an den Lenker vom #Fahrrad und zeichne mit #phyphox die Beschleunigung (Unebenheit) auf. Mit gleicher Geschwindigkeit die beiden Wege abfahren und schon sind sie relativ zu vergleichen, der absolute Wert interessiert nicht. Die z-Werte übereinander gelegt zeigen das Verhältnis von rot= #Fahrbahn und blau= #Radweg

Pressure inside a fridge, measured with #Phyphox.
After opening the door, warm air enters. After closing, the warm air quickly cools and shrinks, lowering the pressure. In this fridge, the air pressure is leveled again after ±30 sec via a condensation drain hole at the back. So, if you open the door shortly after having closed the door, more force is needed, due to the lower pressure compared to outside the fridge (F = ΔP ∙ A). #physics

#Physics experiment ahead!
Some time ago I noticed that street noise entering my house through a (temporary) long ventilation tube (L = 0.8m) were distorted. Using the @phyphox app, the base frequency of this 'resonator' tube was measured (about 200 Hz). With improved sampling, this was then done at two (outside) temperatures. The 🌡️ΔT = +14°C increased the speed of sound by 2.4%, resulting in a higher pitch, of 4-5 Hz, nicely visible in the data. Now waiting for summer ;-) #PhysikEDU #phyphox
