Sunset Strip

#LasVegas #Photography #PhotoSky #Sunset #Sunsets #Clouds

After years, I've finally discovered what makes my sunset pics so intensely sunset'ey.

I use OpenCamera app, opencamera.org.uk

With "White Balance" set to "Auto," it sets "Cloudy" for sunsets and that brings those vibrant sunset colors.

Go give it a try tonight!! 📷 #PhotoSky

We’ve become very good at photographing experiences while they’re happening.

I sometimes wonder how much of the experience disappears while we’re trying to preserve it.

#Photography #VisualCulture #PhotoSky

The best photographs often contain something the photographer didn’t notice at the time.

A reflection, gesture, stranger, shadow.

The camera sometimes sees before we do.

A photograph can become more important after the place it shows has changed.

Sometimes the image only reveals its real value years later.

#Photography #PhotoSky #VisualCulture

A great photograph can make you curious about everything outside the frame.

What happened before? What happened after? Who was standing just beyond the edge?

Sometimes absence is the strongest part of an image.

A good photograph doesn’t just show what was there.

It makes you notice what you would probably have walked past.

That difference between recording and seeing is where photography becomes interesting.

#Photography #PhotoSky #StreetPhotography

We photograph extraordinary places because they look extraordinary.

The harder challenge is finding something worth seeing in the street you’ve walked down 500 times.

Familiarity hides an incredible amount.

#StreetPhotography #UrbanArt #PhotoSky

A photograph can be technically terrible and emotionally priceless.

Perfect focus, composition and exposure are useful. But none of them can replace the fact that something mattered enough to photograph.
