#photogsocial — Public Fediverse posts

RE: https://mastodon.social/@mntyfrsh/116130793549273843

It turns out that the weirdness I was experiencing was apparently just Photog.social's new admin defederating from Mastodon.social (and possibly Pixelfed.social?). I thought I was going crazy when I was trying to follow a user and see specific posts from that instance, but couldn't do either.

There's some strange irony that a photography-based Mastodon server is preventing one of the largest photography Fediverse-based platforms from interacting with it.

tldr; we are doing better but still need your help! We need at least €50 more to cover our server's hosting cost! Firstly, thank you to everyone who's already donated!

We have enough funds to cover costs for a couple months but we'll need our monthly donations to go up before these run out

Hi!

wirklich #NeuHier bin ich nicht, Mastodon nutze ich seit 2018 mit meinem Hauptaccount. Aber ich bin einer der Flüchtlinge von #PhotogSocial, der eine neue Heimat gesucht und hier gefunden hat.

#InsektenSamstag #WildlifePhotography #Hornisse #hornet #Insekt #insect

last night after hearing what was going on with #photogsocial I took time to seek out artists & artposters on instances other than photog.social and mastodon.art, and followed ~15 new-to-me users.

today I found ~5 more interesting people among the refugees. I'm sure there are some I've missed.

if you like art… keep an eye out for introduction posts. people are migrating, often after losing hundreds of followers due to the actions of the new photog.social admins.

📦 Moving day has arrived!

I am migrating from #PhotogSocial to mstdn.social. See you all on the flipside!

Happy adventures, everyone!

Or to put it bluntly...P*SS OFF

Not that you need to know this - in which case feel free to ignore this post - also, I have no affiliation to anybody.

I've bought, received and used for the first time today, a #Neewer #CB200C #ContinuousLighting Lamp.

Thus far I'm suitably impressed and especially so, at the price these things go for.

The lamp seems straight forward enough and robust - if it proves durable/reliable I will consider adding another lamp to go with this one.
