Time for #advice
We bought the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ99 and it's such a nice camera, but I realised I really need to start studying #photography again.
Does anyone know a good online course I can attend to make the best out of this small one?
I am already studying the instructions pamphlet, watching videos and trying to remember what I studied when I was younger, but I'd love to do more.

Advice needed: I will soon leave my beloved Huawei P30 Pro for a Fairphone 6 with /e/OS.
The only thing I will really miss is the camera: I shot amazing pictures with the Huawei, and I know that the Fairphone won't be the same.
So I was thinking about buy a proper camera, but I need it to be suitable for hiking.
Portable, light, easy to store in the backpack, and reliable. Budget around 500-600€.
Any good one?

The #Graflex #CrownGraphic aka Graflex #PacemakerCrownGraphic is a #LargeFormat press #camera introduced by Graflex Inc. in 1947. The lesser known Crown Graphic is commonly mistaken for the Graflex Speed Graphic which is often regarded as the most famous press camera of all time. The mistake is easy to make, however, since the two cameras are identical apart from an additional focal plane shutter on the speed.

What is your favorite focal length and why?

Note: I’m listing the full frame equivalent focal lengths; as you know, if you have a crop sensor like I do, you’d divide these amounts by 1.5).

In 2020, I bought the #SonyA6400, a 10-18mm lens, a 50mm lens, a 70-350mm lens, and a #Laowa 9mm wide angle lens. I found myself neglecting the entire setup. Never used the telephoto or the portrait 50mm lens. I ended up buying a fixed lens DSLR, the #SonyRX10MkIV and all at that A6400 got stuffed into the closet.

Last year, I took both cameras to #Savannah, and was disappointed in them both. The RX10 was heavy and cumbersome; the A6400 failed on the wide angles and all in all it was way too much gear. I’ve since fallen back in love with the RX10 and have a belt holster to make it easy to carry and I’ve loaded it up with film simulations.

#Today I sold all that A6400 gear and am trading it for the #FujiFilm #FujiXT30II with a 16-55mm lens.

What do you guys think? I’d love any input.

If I need light that's more off axis, wireless flash is the way to go. (I forgot to include the flash trigger in this shot). The biggest downside of this setup is that I have to operate the camera one handed because the other hand is holding the light.

When shooting insects in water, this setup helps avoid harsh light reflections
