Another shot of no real subject having the multiple subjects be the subject. I didn't know flowers were so fuzzy! Low ISO, tiny aperture, and a long shutter speed to compensate. I had to bring the exposure up but then add contrast and other sliders to make it pop a little too. #flowers. #macrophotography #macro #macroflower #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

For better or worse, I got another shot at the sunrise this morning. I blinked and it was there, I took about 50 shots with various exposures. This involved a bunch of slider work. I was told expose for the highlights and develop for the shadows in my night time class and I tried that here. I think this was a good shot and cropped it to get the sun at the top left intersection. #sun #hazy #canadafires #chillicotheohio #sunrise #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

One of my attempts this morning to catch the haze of the Canadian wildfires in Ohio. By the time I got home from the dog walk and got back out with my camera I missed my shot. Will try again tomorrow. Heavy slider work to bring the sun into some sort of unblownout circle. #photoexperiment #photoshopedit #sun #hazyday #canadianwildfire #summer #2023photochallenge

This was a nice little bunch of flowers on a sunny day. As you can see in the top left I didn't get the diffuser completely on the target. It was a windy day and I was doing both jobs. But I see the value in it if there is someone to help you. #flower #diffuser #photoshopedit #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

ONE-DERLAND! This feels like I might make it! This shot is a redo of a previous shot and edit. I used my new skills to try something different. I was able to open it up to catch a blue/purple I didn't see before. Kind of like the previous darker version but this one has merit too. Might try splicing them in another edit after a while. #fakestars #Kodama #princessmononoke #photoexperiment #night #nighttimephotography #photoshopedit #2023photochallenge

This was a shot for my night time when I was still learning night time. I used these little spirits around a tea light to make it look like a campfire. The sliders kind of mangle it no matter what I do but will try again after my move when I can get all the stuff back out. #fakecampfire #Kodama #princessmononoke #photoexperiment #night #nighttimephotography #photoshopedit #2023photochallenge

This is a before and after. It is amazing what photoshop sliders can do to bring a photo back to life. That being said I can get why some people think photoshop has killed photography. I think it has made it easier for someone like me to learn. #photoshopedit #sunset #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

This was a macro shot and my first attempt at using a reflector. I gave the dark side a nice golden glow. It was a windy day with only me so I had to shine in one arm and set/snap in the other. Was a fun time though. #photoexperiment #photoshopedit #pinecone #macro #macrophotography #2023photochallenge

This was another one of my pour paintings. Felt there was enough here that I didn't have to tweak the sliders too much. Just a little exposure bump. There was a clarity/texture bump, as is my tradition.

Never been near a volcano so I have to pretend this pour painting is my lava!

I added to this by shining a light on the back that caused the glow you see in the middle. This was a fun combo of my other creative outlet and this one. Sliders were used to bring a little pop, felt flat in the raw picture. #fakelava #macro #macrophotography #pourpainting #photoexperiment #photoshopedit #2023photochallenge

I didn't go low enough in my exposures to get the sky. This was my attempt at an HDR of the canopy. Next time I will spend more time looking at the shot in the preview before leaving. #trees #hdrphotography #photoshopedit #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

This was a close up of another crystal glaze. I would try to focus stack next time. There is so much detail missed. Tried to sharpen the image and used the sliders to bring out more vibrate colors. #crystalglaze #pottery #macro #photoexperiment #photoshopedit #2023photochallenge

Got way too close to an imaginary beast! This was another abstract with fur this time. Was okay with how this turned out. Sliders help make I little more vivid. #abstract #fur #photoexperiment #photo #2023photochallenge

This summer I tried an abstract idea. Next time I do this I want some light coming in from underneath and put the iso a little lower. The pixelation noise was too much for me to overcome in photoshop so I had to make it a "painting". #photoshopedit #photo #photoexperiment #abstract #rainbow #2023photochallenge

This one is of a sand/water art thing I got on my counter. I want to put some harsh light behind it next time and see if it gives this a glow. Also want to try macro shots of the sand falling in the water. #sand #photoexperiment #photo #2023photochallenge

This shot was on my way down one of the back roads of the Upper Peninsula. Idea was to combine this shot with a shot from just the moon. I still might try to rip the sky out and replace it with a clear sky at one point. This is the base image so I used a flashlight to do my best to illuminate all the trees on this one side. #nighttimephotography #upperpeninsulamichigan #woods #fallnight #photo #photoexperiment #photoshopedit #2023photochallenge

This was a start to a campfire. I over exposed it due to trying to catch the spark being built into the campfire but I forgot it would just blow out where the first light was visible for so long. Got cool streaks of embers flying off and you don't even see the hands of the person who lit the fire. #fire #campfire #countryliving #night #nightphotography #photoshopedit #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

How do you take a picture of the breeze? This shot is my attempt to slow the shutter speed and get blur from the leaves. It shows the trees as dynamic and alive. It is something we don't really think about day to day. After taking the picture I adjusted the hue to make it look like Fall. It feels better than just the normal shot. #photo

This was another shutter speed exercise. I was taking pictures of cars. Then I heard the familiar rumble of my motorcycles! I turned and took two shots as I followed them go down the road. Filters and better motion tracking could improve this. I can't wait till the summer when I can take more! #photoexperiment #shutterspeedphotography #motorcycle #motorcycles #photoshopedit #summer #badassbiker #2023photochallenge

This was another from the road trip. Working on shutter speed so taking shots of moving objects out the doorless jeep! I had both hands on the camera and the strap around my neck, was so worried a bump would send it flying! I tried another photoshopped attempt to age.

This was a depth of field shot that I then did some photoshop to some of the wooden slots to make them blue. Think I am going to try a focus stack with better lighting next time. #photo #photoshop #depthoffield #photoexperiment #2023photochallenge

Long exposure photo from the passenger side of my jeep. This was a spin on long exposure. Most of the time you see cars going by on a street. This time the camera is the moving object and the streaks are from stationary objects.

Time delayed photo from a campfire last year. Really like the streaks of fire embers. Think next time I will shoot a little more to the top right. I was worried about not catching anything so I played it safe.

Another from that sunset drive. Messing with the sliders in ACR produces some good photos.

Last year.driving to a location I saw this shot and thought about how remote Michigan's Upper Peninsula is, which sounds funny cause Michigan isn't some remote state. For this shot I wanted to try HDR on it to see if I could make something new using my two classes.

First shot is a crop for what I think it is important, the skyline. The second shot is a crop for instagram which has it's own balance of land and sky.
