A2: I took a flyer on a ratty looking leather box (they clearly couldn’t get it open) from goodwill. Thought it might be a good restoration project. Until I opened it and it was like new inside! 😅😅 And tiny and light! ~1906(??) Kodak Pony Premo #4 #CameraGear #PhotoChat

Also, brands I like: I keep mentioning Zebra dry plates. Currently the only (but hopefully not for long) company producing dry plates and also dry tintypes. they are expanding/innovating too, and just released a faux oratype, new tank, and are threatening to produce new autochromes. #PhotoChat

Q4: always hard to pick a favorite kit, but I loaded my domke bag with this setup last weekend, out doing outdoor stuff with my family, and it’s pretty rad shooting with awesome late nikon film gear and digital era lenses! F100, 24-120 f4 vr, 50 1.8G, 70-300 VR, 17-35 2.8d, 35ti #Nikon #PhotoChat

A5 This D7000 replaced a D70 which replaced D90 which replaced the aforementioned Rebel. Now you have my entire camera history. This strap should probably be replaced but it’s a keepsake from an old pro photographer friend. #photochat

A2 My first camera was a small 110 format I had as a kid. My dad had a Canon AE-1 that I lusted after, even as a middle-schooler, but I graduated to a Kodak 35mm point-and shoot. I was disappointed but I took a lot of memorable photos of family events and field trips with friends. Finally, I worked all summer in high school to buy a Canon EOS Rebel at a pawn shop. It served me well for a decade. #photochat

A1 Don’t do (single or group) portraits. I’m not good with people. I can’t direct them to get a good photo. I’m ok with it, mostly. #photochat

Thank you to all who have participated in #photochat since I took over in 2015. It was a hard choice to end this monthly feature. So I leave it to the wider community, #photochat is up for grabs, anyone can take it and make it what they want! And I'll gladly participate when and where I can.

@thereisnocat Awesome! I've used the 250; it's an excellent camera, but shame the film isn't made anymore, and the existing stock is so expensive. Also those Instamatics were a popular first camera. #photochat
