While NYC is experiencing a historic winter storm, heat has been turned off in MDC [Metropolitan Detention Center] for a week. People inside are reporting that guards are only sporadically turning on the heat for a bit during the nights and turning it back off. They are saying it is freezing inside.
Let them know that the heat must be turned on and we will continue pressuring until we know that people inside MDC are not freezing.
