Got around to watching The Phoenician Scheme tonight. Obviously beautiful in that typical Wes Anderson way but we had to look up the plot afterwards to see if we'd missed any deeper meaning or plot points. We hadn't. It's something we find with Anderson films often, that there's less to them than we expect, although the cinematography and directing and casting can make up for that thinness of story.
