  5. We've release #Livi 0.5.0, our light video player for mobile 📼 . It now shows a proper status page when processing a URL (by @tpikonen ) and can (optionally) avoid display notches in landscape mode when the #Wayland compositor sends the necessary information (e.g. #phoc does). It's already updated in #Debian and on #flathub.

  7. #phoc now uses #wlroots 0.20, floating windows now show focus using an accent-colored frame and tiled windows have a small margin. We also support the xdg-dialog-v1 protocol to handle modal dialogs better.

  9. The Wayland compositor #phoc saw some workspace related improvements but the major changes affect the handling of override-redirect windows in #X11 applications. This allows X11 applications like #emacs, #ardour, etc. to work better. We also updated to #wlroots 0.19.3.

  11. There were improvements in the worskpace and keysym handling (by @tpikonen ), we allow fullscreen windows to remain fullscreen when they lose focus (which helps games) and fixed some several other issues.

  15. On the on screen keyboard side we fixed two long standing issues:

    • the on screen keyboard "sometimes" unfolded with a delay, this is now fixed in stevia.
    • When the user submitted preedit it could show up in the next text input e.g. in #Chatty or Flare. This is now fixed in #phoc.

  19. Apart from that we had some #Cellbroadcast related fixes in #phosh and the
    pomodoro plugin can now automatically start on unlock.

    The #Wayland compositor #Phoc gained initial sysprof support, a debug
    option to damage the whole output and we fixed several crashes.

  21. #Phosh's compositor #phoc got updated to the latest stable #wlroots release 0.19.0 giving us all the goodies from there. Apart from that it now remembers your phone's display resolution in case you want something different than the calculated default. It also supports adaptive sync now and gained support for protocols like shortcuts-inhibit.

    This is a small bug fix release containing stability fixes for and that shouldn't wait 'til 0.45.0. Most of them (but not all) address issues introduced in 0.44.0.

  25. @agx The discoverable button for taking apps out of fullscreen has now landed (including a fix for to not crash when doing so 😃 ). This should help apps that don't expose an easy to discover way to unfullscreen them (without resorting to workarounds like using the OSK or spawning another app).

  29. phosh-osk-stub (and ) got several fixes related to text completion / prediction so we enable it by default if the app requests it (e.g. chatty and GNOME TextEditor do). This will hopfully let more apps do that.

    The OSK also got a paste button.
