Das Video ist auch für Deutschland interessant, weil es analysiert, wie Systeme schlimme (und eigentlich verbotene) Dinge tun, selbst wenn die Beteiligten das gar nicht wollen.
Zusätzlich gibt es natürlich immer Kräfte, die genau das üble wollen. Nicht nur in UK sondern auch hier (weltweit vernetzt und gut finanziert).

TL;DR man sollte sehr vorsichtig sein mit der Konzentration auf die Geburtenrate allein und den allerlei davon abgeleiteten Ängsten und Befindlichkeiten - denn diese lassen sich auch sehr leicht für nationale Projekte und die Unterdrückung von Frauen nutzen.
Ich sage nicht, dass wir uns nicht mit Demografie auseinandersetzen müssen - denn diese ist zweifelsfrei im Wandel. Ob allerdings ein "wir müssen die Geburtenrate wieder steigern" überhaupt sinnvoll und ethisch umsetzbar ist, ist eine andere Frage.
Und mit der ethischen Umsetzbarkeit haben sich Religionsgemeinschaften da nicht gerade immer löblich hervorgetan.

La cosa que me dejó con la boca abierta fue cuando dijo que Vance era 1) de izquierda; 2) ateo. Peor aún cuando explicó cómo pasó de eso a católico ultra conservador de derecha.
El tercer video de la serie, no está en YouTube (y nunca estará), es una píldora hiper concentrada de depresión, pero como siempre, presenta preguntas difíciles, esta vez a través de un juego.

Ein absolut starker Text von Abigail Thorn ("Philosophy Tube“), warum pathologisierende Systeme wie der britische NHS grundsätzlich der falsche Ansatz für die Bedarfe von trans Personen sind.
"The NHS ... view transition as a response to a medical problem they call ‘gender dysphoria’ or ‘gender incongruence.’ From this starting point it seems appropriate that trans people have to get permission to transition: transness is a medical matter with inherent risks that ought to be controlled by “specialists.” Sometimes those specialists delay or deny permission, but that’s just part of the job. It also makes sense to ask which treatments are “most effective at treating dysphoria” and explore alternative treatments through trials, reviews, consultations, etc. I call this view ‘Pathologization.’"
Gilt auch für unser System hier.Abigail arbeitet detailliert heraus, warum diese Systeme strukturell bösartig sind und nicht von innen heraus verändert werden können, selbst wenn alle darin Arbeitenden gut und wohlwollend wären, inklusive der Chefs. Sie können nur durch etwas neues ersetzt werden, das mit grundlegend anderen Ansätzen arbeitet:
"We need an informed consent system in which we control our own bodies without needing permission from anybody.“
Das bedeutet auch für uns eine grundlegend andere Denkweise: „If someone wants to transition, that’s their business“„I refuse to believe trans people must always live in a world where someone else controls our bodies. We will not always be second-class citizens. We can start by refusing to internalise Pathologization and insisting on the abolition of systems that produce it. We can grasp the determination necessary to go around those systems.
„The road ahead is long, but we have never been stronger. For the first time ever we are seeing the emergence of a global collective trans subjectivity. We have always been here, but often isolated and in hiding. Now in the early years of the 21st Century we have made an astonishing discovery:“

„Trans people in the UK, France, Germany, Eastern Europe, North America, Brazil, Taiwan, India, Russia, Australia, North Africa, South Africa, New Zealand- more places every day- are thinking and talking about ourselves in similar terms, and making similar demands. This has never happened before. Moreover, cis people are slowly realising they are cis. We really have reached a “tipping point,” no doubt in part thanks to the internet. The bodily autonomy of trans people is bound up with the bodily autonomy of all people, particularly cis women who have also suffered for far too long under the paternalistic medicalising gaze. That’s why I think the Colonel Korns of this world are doomed to fail: they are trying to do medicine and management on a civil rights movement.“

I'm a bit late but I just watched "Why We Can’t Build Better Cities" by #philosophytube (feat. @notjustbikes ranting on #suburbia) which is actually a bait-and-switch into an extremely insightful talk about the (IMHO) greatest challenge our society faces today.
If you at all care about improving the world we live in, I can highly recommend watching this video.

¡Pues ya está! ¡Ya he roto la racha otra vez! Ahora me toca condensar TRES MESES de turra en un solo illusjournal que se va a hacer larguííííííísimo y que no os vais a leer (y con razón). Una lástima, porque desde la última entrada he hecho muuuchas cosas interesantísimas como confinarme por coronavirus (sí, lo pillé otra vez), montarme un servicio de streaming de vídeo en casa, irme de viaje a Bélgica, pulular por Mastodon, reparar cosas rotas, dibujar tres cartelacos y conseguir trabajo en un restaurante de ramen. ¿Qué? ¿Qué no os interesa nada de eso?
