Ich frage mich wirklich, warum die Menschheit es für eine gute Idee hielt, Lichtschalter durch Smartphones zu ersetzen. Und warum kommt dieser ganze Kram bei mir zum Einsatz? Nicht in einem Haus über mehrere Etagen, nein, in einer Mietwohnung mit gut erreichbaren Lichtschaltern.

Does anyone use a #PhillipsHue Tap Dial #zigbee remote with #zigbee2mqtt 2.0.0?

I can't figure out why I no longer see activity even in debug logs.

I've tried repairing, filing an upstream issue etc, no luck.

If it works for anyone else I'd at least know it's a local issue.

On my #RaspberryPi security alarm: I will be replacing all #Aqara motion sensors with #PhillipsHue — they seem to be more reliable, have better battery life, short cool-down and I like the mounting options better. 3D printed corner mounts!

Philips Hue bulbs are nice, but the app SUCKS! Moving bulbs and switches from room to room couldn't be any more complex.

Aside from actually having time off, this week has been wonderful because I've been able to do some things that I'd been meaning to do for a LONG time.

1) I've removed #Plex from our family server, and replaced it with #Jellyfin. The latter is free, and doesn't track your stuff or require you to sign in to a website, like the former does.

2) I'm working on removing all of our #PhillipsHue lightbulbs in the house and replacing them with #HomeAssistant friendly #Shelly dimmers/switchers. I've got to work on this one VERY slowly, as it's not going to be cheap, but yesterday, I finished the bedroom setup, with time to spare ;)

3) I'm now effectively running #JuicePassProxy https://github.com/snicker/juicepassproxy on my network to prevent both of our JuiceBoxes from calling home and running the terrible new version. The bad news? I wasn't quick enough to stop the new EnelX system from picking up the charging stations, and now I can't dynamically adjust charge rate.

So, here’s my plan for getting some control back over my data from big tech. More to come , but I want to jot my ideas down before I forget!

The first step is to block as much advertising as possible. I hate being tracked and correlated with people I know, seeing their ads. I already use #pfsense and #pfblockerng - so will filter that and use VPN across devices to route via home.

The next step is to lock down my devices to stop tracking bloody everything. Should be an easy fix - remove unwanted apps, stop things like access to GPS and sensors unless using the apps.

Once the basics have been sorted, next step will be looking at media hosting. #synology and #jellyfin are probs going to be key players

Finally point for today, will need to move away from various Google services in the home automation space. Smart speakers, nest cameras and heating are probs going to go. Will also look at replacing apps that NEED the cloud - looking at you #phillipshue

Phillips Hue will soon require an online account to use its smart lights. It looks like the account is not required for control of the lights, they should still operate during an internet outage, but will be required.

What are some fun automations to try?

I had a bit of strange issue today. I upgrade the firmware of my Eero Pro 6s and then all my Phillips Hue bulbs turned on and became unresponsive with Alexa. If I tried to turn them off using the Alexa app it said server unresponsive. Any thoughts?

I found some used #PhillipsHue 75W bulbs on Amazon for about $30 a piece but they got cancelled 😓

I just want some durable #zigbee bulbs that don't cost as much as a AAA video game on launch day!

Nearly all my #sengled bulbs have burnt out, so I thought I'd just buy name brand but FFS #Phillips; $170 for four 75W bulbs!? I own cheaper TVs!

I had hoped that #matter was going to rescue me from the madness of #PhillipsHue bulbs, but apparently it's just a pairing protocol.

So now I'm thinking about buying a #ZigBee dongle and connecting my bulbs and switches to that like this #homeAutomation guy does

I wonder if there's a way to do that with my my #pfSense router; it's got a i5 and lots of RAM.

I want a simple wall switch that works with Hue. The only Hue option is the little magnetic dots that are unreliable and fall off the wall all the time. I have a Lutron aurora dimmer that works fine, but it's meant to mount on top of a light switch and i can't see a way to just adhere it to a wall. A couple other ZigBee things i bought turn out to not work with Hue. Surely there's something out there? #homeautomation #phillipshue

@mike the #WLED project is pretty highly recommended, though I'll admit I've never used them. For single color light strips (so not the fancy ones, but the ones that have existed for years), I personally use a #ZigBee LED controller from #Gledopto with some cheap RGB-CCT strips purchased off of #AliExpress. Integrates with #Zigbee2MQTT without any issues, and also integrates with #PhillipsHue if that's your thing.

@michael I've had really good luck with #Aqara buttons, Aqara remotes (battery powered, but on the wall near your other switches), Aqara switches (so replacing existing ones, mostly US Decora), and #PhillipsHue dimmer remotes (with Decora faceplates off of #Etsy). All of them work via #ZigBee (and I use #Zigbee2MQTT) without any issues.

Does anyone have any experience with #Wiz or #PhillipsHue bulbs?

I'm looking for a bulb that can do one simple job: Gradually increase in brightness over a set period of time, starting from a specified time.

Собственно, у меня есть 3 лампочки #phillipshue , Bridge и выключатель. Оно как бы всё само отлично работает, в том числе вместе с приложением #sleepasandroid . Но хочется голосового управления и более гибкой автоматизации. Планирую постепенно расширять список домашней электронники.

When I was shopping for lights, I came across some with additional filters which you can attach to change the colour temperatures. Then I thought why not just use #PhillipsHue lights? With these Hue Play light bars I can have all kinds of temps and colours via the app!
