My copy of Philip Jeck & Chris Watson’s Oxmardyke arrived today and it’s truly wonderful, even if it’s also suffused with melancholy and fragility as one of Jeck’s last projects before his untimely death last year. The recordings are full of real and imagined crossings, bridges and transfers, a movement of air and sound from one realm to another. Highly recommended.

Probably linked this already. Don't care. It's Alter Ego and Philip Jeck's version of Bryars' THE SINKING OF THE TITANIC. GB plays on the recording, too. It's about loss of life and loss of information as the ship moves downward. Remarkable.
