Phil Collins, whether solo or with his band Genesis, has produced a lot really good songs. (His work on Tarzan was excellent!) But what I really like about his song “Take Me Home” is that it doesn’t sound like it’s from the 1980s especially with its breathy vocals in the chorus (with Sting and Peter Gabriel singing backup!).

"Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" (also titled "#AgainstAllOdds") is #aSong by English singer and songwriter #PhilCollins recorded for the soundtrack to the 1984 film of the same name. The song is a #powerBallad in which its protagonist implores an ex-lover to "take a look at me now", knowing that reconciliation is "against all odds", but worth the gamble. The single reached #numberOne on the #Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

"I Can't Dance" is the fourth track from English rock band #Genesis' 14th studio album, #WeCantDance (1991). It was released in December 1991 by #VirginRecords as the second single from the record. The lyrics were written by drummer #PhilCollins with music composed collectively by the band. The song peaked at number seven on both the US #Billboard Hot 100 and the #UKSinglesChart, and number three on the US #CashBox Top 100.

40 years ago this week, "Take Me Home" by #PhilCollins entered the #Top10 at 10. It peaked at 7 on 10 May 1986. The lyrics were inspired by the novel "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest".
