I defended my doctoral thesis yesterday at @IBI_HU and passed summa cum laude. 🎓 My office door already says Dr. Laura Rothfritz on it, which still feels unreal. But it's not official of course, until the dissertation is published.
The work looks at trust and distrust in public data infrastructures, with the Data Rescue movement in 2016/2017 as its case.
Thank you to everyone who read drafts, argued with me, and kept me going.

What a day! I finally defended my dissertation at Leiden University. I am so grateful to have completed thes journey. Many thanks to everyone who was part of this, especially my supervisors @sarahderijcke, Paul Wouters, Wolfgang Kaltenbrunner and also everyone at @cwts who supported my work.

It is kind of surreal that I just finally submitted my PhD thesis for pre-examination. Getting this done had kind of taken over everything in the last month, and now it's just over? I mean, I'm not complaining, but I feel like it will take a bit more time for this to properly settle in.
