Je vais juste citer l'article :Les chirurgies génitales pour les personnes trans ont augmenté de façon significative. Les vaginoplasties ont été multipliées par 4 en 10 ans (333 opérations en 2022). Les chirurgies masculinisantes ont été multipliées par 10 en 10 ans (234 opérations en 2022).
Joint le graphique d'évolution dans le temps, et y'a dans l'article un tableau avec les chiffres précis par années (mais qui ne permet pas bien de faire la différence entre les techniques utilisées vu que ça se base sur les codes CCAM qui sont nuls).
L'étude regarde aussi les dynamiques d'autres chirurgies, et observe notamment que les vasectomies sont en forte augmentation (supérieure à celle des opé trans, mais personne vient parler d'une épidémie c'est curieux), avec un nombre faible et stable de vasovasostomies (annulation d'une vasectomie).

CW: Muscle graft and skin graft images about 4 months post op
Thought I’d do an image updates on my graft sites from phalloplasty surgery. They don’t look gnarly or anything but are medical.
I put vitamin e oil on them when they’re dry and have started massaging the muscle graft site.

If I’d have it to do over again I would get electrolysis rather than laser hair removal. Laser hair removal may work just fine for many but I was completely bald for surgery. I have thick dark hair, ideal for laser hair removal. However I’ve already had a lot of regrowth and will likely get electrolysis (not wasting money on laser hair removal again).
I also am concerned for how much hair is in my urethra. From my bit of research that should be okay. Still not ideal.

In the car was trying to explain to my partner why I’m not just feeling gender euphoria as I heal from phalloplasty.
(Kinda annoyed how she was like why? Why would you feel anything else?)
How it’s normal to feel depression and frustration and all these other emotions, especially with complications.
It's worth it and I have to remind myself of that but it definitely is. The euphoria I feel is amazing.
Pain and fistulas not so much.

Got back home. Took a nap.
Not good news from my appointments today.
The imaging showed the fistula hasn’t healed and the urologist said it won’t heal on its own. So now I need another surgery.
The urologist will talk with the plastic surgeon to decide when to perform the surgery.

🌃 Question for #transmasc folks who have had #phalloplasty - I know it varies from person to person and donor site to donor site, but I'm weighing my options between phallo and meta right now and the big make-it-or-break-it question for me is if I'll completely lose sensation if I get phallo. I'm happier with a larger dick, if my packer euphoria proves anything! But I want to be able to feel it "in use" as it were. So... Has anyone completely lost sensation?
