#PHA really doesn't like ironing I think. However printing in PEI + 3DLac works quite well without it being utterly stuck like on glass.

Once calibrated #PHA (Colorfabb) really is great to print. It's really bad with bridges though, and getting it off from the build plate is exactly the other way around (print a thicker bottom layer on cold plate, then heat up the plate to remove it afterwards). No issues with warping.
I strongly recommend trying it out, compostability is a huge gamechanger for #3DPrinting. It doesn't smell at all (I hear this really differs from brand to brand).
Definitely gonna try to use it more often!

@MxRemy I've been printing some #PHA from colorfabb, here's what I noticed:
- This stuff warps worse than ABS
- The prints feel super high quality. Better than any other filament IMO.
- Overhangs are super difficult: You need the perfect balance between "as much cooling as possible" and not blowing the bridge/overhang away with 100%.
- When degrading in heat (in the extruder for too long) it turns into some nasty stuff that sticks perfectly to anything.
- It didn't smell for me -

Any tips on making #3dprinting #bioplastic #PHA by fermentation #diy at home?
I'm quite stuck in making #PLA at home from sourkraut, I'd need high purity sulfuric acid to actually get this lactic acid out of calcium lactate (egg shells + pickle juice). I might try using citric acid and heating that up. But if that doesn't work, PHA seems even better and more homebrewable.
Anyways, making the #fff #fdm #filament using no paleotechnic products. That would be the most #solarpunk thing ever.

Uh... I've just printed with #PHA the first time! PHA is a completely compostable filament you can compost in your garden! It seems really interesting... Stay tuned!
