Never did I ever think I would become a #PewDiePie fan, but here I now am one.

The fabled Year of Linux :linux: is getting a lot closer.

Not because Microsoft's reqs for W11 disqualifies hundreds of millions PCs from upgrading. It will help, but not as much as many hopes.

#PewDiePie discovering Linux and self-hosting is cool and all. But basically «vibe-deploying» all your stuff using howto guides until it works seems like the perfect receipt for getting #pwned

@alf #Pewdiepie must also have come across the #Fediverse and #Peertube, given how much he's obviously researched this. And then... probably concluded its user base was too small to bother. But who knows, he's surprised us before.

Then again... The Fediverse is big on #antifascism. And given his controversies in the past, that might also be keeping him away. Hell, #WilWheaton was driven out, imagine what would happen to Pewdiepie. Far as I know, he never renounced any of the fashy stuff.

Neat to see a mainstream youtuber using the privacy respecting "services" I have been exploring. Nextcloud is truly transformative. Google maps or Waze is hard to not use, and I have been loving having privacy as default on graphene.

Would love to see Pewdiepie get into proxmox, but I guess with docker he is pretty much there.
