To reduce the chances of forgetting the spare #Petzl Core in the pocket of my running shorts and having it ultimately end up in the washing machine, I've designed this little case that can be attached to all sorts of things – for example, your door keys. (Ideally, with a small carabiner.)

Some people go to extreme lengths to save weight on there lighting requirements. I just trust Petzl as I have done for over 30yrs.
My current goto headlamp from this stable is the Swift RL. It weighs in at 100g and produces up to 1100 lumens of brightness.
That includes the rechargeable battery which can be charged via USB - no need to carry spare batteries.The lighting angle is adjustable and it has six lighting settings. The head band is easy to adjust - just pull on two plastic slider tabs at the back.

I've been testing my #Petzl #headtorch if it's battery is still good. It's only on the lowest brightness settings, but this thing has been on for 3 days already with no signs of giving up. 🔋
Anyone has a number on an outdoor gear exorcist? 😈 -
Biggest disappointment from #hiking santa this year was a new #Petzl hardtorch. I'm sure it's a lovely torch, but we won't know until we hit the gym to build up the muscles to be able to open the battery compartment. Seriously, the most important thing about a headtorch (other than light!) is to be able to open it to recharge the batteries, or to swap the battery, and it that's hard to do the torch won't be used. The Actik Core has a battery flap which is hard to grip, requires a lot of brute force to open, and also requires a bit of force to get closed - it'd be very easy in the dark to leave it slightly open by accident and let water in.
Back to the drawing board on this one Petzl. Meanwhile, second hand unused torch for sale to owner with hulk-like qualities.
