The sleek-sided dog was thirsty. It gulped down the water in its bowl & then followed its human around, whining.

"You want more? Ok, hold on."

The bowl was refilled once, twice, three times.

The dog changed. It became nothing but water held in dog shape by a thin membrane. Inside it, small fish were visible, as if the dog were an aquarium. Its human ran a hand along its spine, #petting it. Soft as always, but the human's hand came away wet.
