#petsarefamily — Public Fediverse posts

On this fucking day I'm sending very tight hugs to a very special friend. I hope you can feel it;
I am with you.
And I want to remember all of you, our time with our beloved pets; may they be furry. feathery, scaly, or whatever, is limited.
So I came to the question of whether it is better for our pets to outlive us or for us to outlive our pets.
We should take the pain and outlive our pets. No one can care for us better than we can.

This is a bittersweet memory from 2019.
Unfortunately, Mucki died a few years ago.
I was his cat sitter.

Separated by borders and bureaucracy, reunited by love. This couple’s ₹15-lakh journey to bring their dog Sky to Australia is redefining what family truly means. https://english.mathrubhumi.com/news/good-news/indian-couple-dog-import-australia-sky-story-eqht1qt3?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=mastodon #PetsAreFamily #UnconditionalLove #SkyTheDog #EmotionalStory

This won’t be a cheerful story—but it is an important one. Pawwell is a same-day pet remembrance photography session, created when time was already running out. Perun Von Folkvangr could no longer move on his own, so his people carried him, supported him, and stayed close. We worked at home, quietly and gently, before time ran out. “I’m not poor, my owner is.”
This disgraceful classism shouldn’t apply to felines. I’d let him fly the plane if he wanted.

Ummmmmmm.
Meistens.
Aber manchmal ist eine Explosion unvermeidlich.
Brennstoff (Thema Tiere) + Oxidationsmittel (saublöde Meinungen wie "Tiere sind Gegenstände") -> oxidierte Brennstoffelemente + Wärme + Licht (Kabooooooooom!)

Note: Someone told me she did find a cat to borrow from a local cat rescue; she went on to adopt the cat shortly after.
I WANT TO BELIEVE THIS.

Siempre vivirás en nuestros recuerdos, porque el amor que compartimos no conoce despedidas ni olvido.
Eres y serás para siempre una luz en nuestros corazones.
