This is Sir Maxwell Lang, he is the first CKCS I cared for. He started the love affair. He turned 13 this year. Sadly he has been diagnosed with CHF and has been admitted to the hospital overnight. 😥 The ER team has him resting comfortably and sleeping in the oxygen tent. Here's what happened since my last post. Trevor got adopted late 2024 by a wonderful person with a large extended family nearby. I've enjoyed updates from them, Trevor was allowed to go at his own pace and the typical loving CKCS temperment replaced the shy frightened one I picked up. We've decided to go with Jasper as our new friend's name.
According to his rescue records, he was left tied to the front door of a vet's office in Fresno with matted fur and signs of neglect. Don't know why they decided to move him to Oregon, but we're glad he's here.
Strangely, he's not motivated by food. He definitely wants affection. He loves walks and has yet to bark at anything.

So we made a heart decision today and brought this little guy home from the #petrescue.
Apparently he was abandoned tied to a pole, and it’s obvious he has some attachment issues. He’s scared of the Chuckit which makes it seem like he was hit with something.
He’s being a little cudddle bug as I’m typing this, so that’s a hopeful sign.
We’re waiting a couple days to get to know him to decide his new name.

Our foster boy Ray is having a few issues that need rectification as a result of a tooth extraction which happened before he came into our care. The rescue organisation we're working with, Homeward Bound Hounds, has set up a Go Fund Me to raise money for Ray's corrective surgery as well as to help Bella, a fellow foster who is currently being treated for cancer.
