Submissions are now open on the proposal to change the Lower Hutt suburb name Petone to correct the spelling to Pito One.
I have just submitted on this. It only takes a few minutes. I just wrote a couple of sentences about supporting Māori culture and language.

Yesterday I went to the beach. Hung out with the seagulls. Stood with my feet bare in the sand and water. The wind was lovely, the water warm and not having to wear a mask cause everyone was extremely socially distanced was nice.
