I was part of a team of auditors at a client's office, @Ratoncita. A loudspeaker often paged the same person. One senior auditor often gave his impression of who was being paged. When we heard the announcement, he would say: "Colonel Ribit, Colonel Ribit" and "Peter Rabbit, Peter Rabbit." Overhearing some of this, one of the client's managers brought that man to our office, saying: "Here is the man you called Colonel Ribit." Our senior auditor replied: "They must keep you hopping." #PeterRabbit

"Peter Rabbit Sledging," Beatrix Potter, 1907.
Potter (1866-1943) was a fascinating woman who's finally getting some recognition. Known for years as a children's author and illustrator, she was also a scientist and conservationist. Although she wasn't recognized for it at the time (largely because of her sex), she was the first person to realize that fungi are germinated by spores, not by symbiosis, as was believed. As her fortune grew from her book sales, she became a leader in conserving the landscape of England's Lake District.
She was also a canny businesswoman, being the first to license a literary character (Peter Rabbit) to be a stuffed toy.
This image seems to have been an early Christmas card by Potter, before she published her works. She observed real animals closely to get as many details right as she could (aside from, y'know, her animals being very anthropomorphized).

The Boy just picked out a #PeterRabbit book, brought it over and handed it to me, then stood in front of me with his arms outstretched and said “Up.” So I lifted him onto the couch next to me, where he opened the book and started waving his hand. The first page reads “This is Peter Rabbit. Hello Peter!”
He is #18months old and he loves books. It makes my heart swell. I have no problem at all reading his Peter Rabbit book to him, for the millionth time. 💙
