  2. This week, I got to try out an AI-personal stylist startup's upcoming App. I affectionately named the suggested style "Emo Jimmy Buffett." At least it was wildly entertaining.

  4. 🧵 As for odour reduction- I have personally found that very short hair is the least odour creating/retentive- long body hair can nurture the bacteria/hold smells, but shaved skin -i.e. skin on skin can mean less air getting in, so there can be a *different* smell created. Very short hair remains easy to clean and uses less deodorant if you go that route, but still keeps the skin off the other skin! So less or better smell!

  5. 🧵 Actual shaving may be less likely to cut than clippers in tricky areas, but you will get that rough feeling- it diminishes in a short time and you get used to to it to some extent. I generally prefer clipping to shaving in most areas (esp any area with friction!) for this reason.

  6. 🧵 Someone posted about underarm #shaving and as a guy who has both done lots of personal body grooming and used to do it professionally as well- I have a couple of thoughts (this ended up being long and probably way more than anyone wants to read..lol-- it will be a few posts).

  7. The Power of #Observation as an #Acting Tool

Acting instructors emphasize the word “observe,” knowing that life provides a steady stream of #creative #inspiration to those who pay close enough attention. Noticing a real person’s idiosyncratic #mannerisms as they deal with life’s struggles, joys and sorrows—their #facialexpressions, #voicetones, #personalstyle, and #posture—can prove to be a valuable asset in an #actor’s arsenal.

  12. I wrote an article about eight brands making unique shirts you can wear this summer. When I say unique, I mean, in the discrete math sense—there's only one of each shirt in the world. They're non-fungible. I think that's pretty cool.

  13. Vogue really wants us to have the conversation about what the cool people actually were wearing in the early ‘00s.

I remember a lot of ballet flats, low waist jeans, bolero sweaters, and the like.

If you were around, what were your go to looks in the noughties?
