  1. State of my toolchain 2024

An overview of the software, hardware and other personal productivity toolchains I’m using as of December 2024.

  2. Since I’ve been using my productivity journal I’ve been able to slowly slay the procrastination dragon 🐉. I still procrastinate here and there (it’s a learning process), but it’s getting well better! 🥰

  3. One of the hardest lessons I've learned in improving my personal productivity is to build processes that match my ability, rather than make aspirational goals.

  4. I started writing another book.

Where Triumph over Time distilled the ideas of “professional” (read, sold to businesses) #ProjectManagement, #Agile, and #PersonalProductivity without getting into a tactical system, this book seeks to be a pragmatic and practical way to apply the ideas in Triumph over Time.

Not *the* system, but a system.

Would a book like that interest you?

And, what one thing (or question) would you like to glean (or ask) of such a book?

    ps. Yes, it #scales…both ways.

  5. I'm asking ChatGPT to generate #personalproductivity system & it occurs to me that they're all as good as #GTD and the like because there is almost no data to back up the efficacy of these systems.

Also reminds me of Little Miss Sunshine's dad who was a fictional motivational speaker with some fictional GTD-analogue

  6. This weekend the Detroit Public Library hosted me to speak about my book The Everything Guide to Remote Work

If you're looking for an informative 40-min talk, reach out! I speak regularly about #RemoteWork #HybridWork #PersonalProductivity #EmailManagement and other topics

Most talks are for private organizations but I have spoken to state legislators, university students, and many other groups

  7. Doing a new #introduction now I understand what I'm doing with it.

I write software. Mostly typescript, 3D and 2D stuff (some graphics, spatial stuff, little bits of linear algebra etc). Sometimes prolog, sometimes other weird stuff.

In my spare time, I sometimes write more software. automation, the good kind of productivity, lisps, elixir, functional programming in general. Still some typescript.

I also play games, mostly on the steam deck.

I write for myself, sometimes I share it. I like music and books and drawing and making notes.
