11/05. The midnight channel is on.
Summer holiday is almost over. The alleged murderer has been captured, we went to the beach, I did lots of homework, and tonight's the fireworks festival.
Considering the conversation I'm having with Nanako right now, I'm dreading she may be the next person to be thrown into the TV, and I swear to god, if anyone touches a single hair on this wonderful child's head, the next song in this OST is going to be "The only thing they fear is you".

I'm officially hooked to #Persona4Golden. The map of activities I can now do has started to open up, and I'm really loving some of the decisions they made (such as side activities sometimes helping you advance social links).
I still wish there was an option in the fusion menu, like in SMT: Devil Survivor, to see the Personas within my level range that I can't fuse and which prerequisites I'm missing.
I've been making a bit of progress these past days in #Persona4Golden. My impressions so far:
- The concept is super cool. The idea of the Midnight Channel, while still in principle quite similar to what I saw in the other games, has a very unique feel that I'm really enjoying.
- I feel the UI lacks some of the QoL features from later games, such as the minimap of the school and social trigger markers.
- This game is way harder than P5 or P3R!
- Teddy, please shut the fuck up 😂
That’s a wrap on P4G! What an absolutely incredible story and experience. It did drag a bit at a few places, but so worth it in the end!
Excited to dive into P5R, but think I’m gonna need a bit of a break first, haha.

Just hit November and holy crap a lot happened in October! The concert at Junes, the Culture Festival with both of the beauty pageants, the night at the Amagi Inn, AND I aced my midterms!
Re-ran a couple of the dungeons in there for different quests. Maxed out social links with Dojima and Yumi. Nanako and Rise will prolly be next.
Started the link with Ai, but it’s currently reversed cuz she made me mad.
Ran the Secret Laboratory and rescued Naoto! Backtracking was annoying but I like how they try to keep the dungeons different and interesting.
Chose Yukiko and maxed out her social link. Also maxed out Athletes and Marie. Started working at the hospital to boost courage to start the Ai link. The nurse is creeping me out.
Been busy. Saved Rise and Teddie, aced my exams, ran the Void Quest dungeon (my favorite so far), punched a flying baby, and saved (?) Mitsuo.
The game has done a very good job of trying to fake me out by saying the case is closed and even giving the Game Over achievement. I know better however.
I was firmly in the Yukiko camp from the start of the game. Then I met Rise. Now I’m conflicted… 🤷♂️
Closing in on 20 hours. Just recently realized I could take Marie out of the Velvet Room, so a little late to that party.
Have met Rise, am working my way thru the striptease. It’s entertaining to me when even the characters are like “This is going a bit too far.”

Made up the two hours I lost on the system freeze yesterday and saved Kanji!
This time I exited the dungeon every few floors to save back at the entrance just in case. Luckily it was all smooth sailing this time!
The Vita was a bit too “squinty” for the amount of text in P4G so I ended up switching to the Steam Deck which has been a much more comfortable experience.
About ten hours in now, scored average on midterms and Kanji has just shown up on the Midnight Channel. Still enjoying the game quite a bit more than I’d expected! It’s very nice to kick back and relax.

Creo que lo terminé (la segunda partida) hará como dos semanas o más, pero siempre se me olvidaba hacer la review.
Creo que si me habéis leído alguna vez por aquí hablar sobre el juego sabréis que me gustó mucho. Pero mucho. Tal vez influyó que lo jugué inmediatamente después del Persona 3 Portable (cuando digo inmediatamente no exagero, fue ver los créditos finales del 3 y empezar el 4), y aunque el 3 es un juego más que digno, desde mi punto de vista el 4 le supera en muchas cosas. Creo que mejora el sistema de las mazmorras que, seamos sinceros, siguen siendo repetitivas, pero al menos a mí me dio la impresión de que se hacían menos pesadas que las del 3.
El sistema del juego sigue siendo igual, un RPG de batallas por turnos alternado con la vida de un adolescente estudiante de instituto. Tendremos de nuevo que subir el nivel de amistad con ciertos personajes para mejorar nuestras invocaciones (las Personas) y avanzar en ciertas tramas.
Lo mejor, para mí, es la historia principal del juego. Es una historia muy interesante que, por muy repetitivas que sean las mazmorras (que lo son) te impulsa a seguir jugando para ver qué es lo que está pasando en el pueblo y quién está detrás de una serie de crímenes particularmente extraños. Además es una historia llena de giros, plot twists y sorpresas (algunas más previsibles que otras). La primera vez que lo jugué me perdí algunos finales y me lo tuve que pasar otra vez para verlos todos, pero la verdad, no me arrepiento.
Eso sí, como todo tiene sus puntos flojos. En mi opinión, no me gustó mucho como trataron dos subtramas de dos personajes en concreto (en especial uno de ellos). No entraré en detalles para evitar spoilers, pero me hubiera gustado que se hubiera tratado de otro modo.
En definitiva, si os gustan este tipo de juegos y aún no lo habéis jugado, dadle una oportunidad. Eso sí, reservad una buena cantidad de horas porque las necesitaréis.

Really enjoy the voice acting and art. Music is pretty fantastic as well. Story is just weird enough that I need to figure out what’s going on.
Pues ya he terminado la segunda partida del #Persona4Golden, y he podido ver todos los finales (en la primera solo vi dos, uno malo y el true ending). No he conseguido el 100% del juego, porque me han faltado algunas Personas y subir dos s-links al máximo, pero no voy a jugarlo una tercera vez para eso :NKO_sudor:
Ya haré una review más detallada, pero ya os adelanto que me ha gustado mucho, de hecho mi intención es ver el anime (y del 3 si también lo hay, no estoy segura). Eso y esperar a que el Persona 5 esté en oferta, que ahora mismo está muy caro 😅

I've listened Chie's voice from the original #Persona4 game. Because of the voice, her character appears completely different from #Persona4Golden I didn't know there was such a difference for players of the original game. She seemed much more mature and calm in the original.
There were a lot of Persona cosplayers at the con throughout and I was able to get some pictures with some more. Akechi is probably one of my favourite Megami Tensei characters honestly.

I got my peeps to level 99, and I'm fusing some special personas 🥳 In a remake, I'd like to see an interface to fuse and sort personas like in P3R. I'm enjoying the game so much that I don't want it to end, but I also feel the need of some variety and to get back to some unfinished Steam games.
