Julia Gillard’s kitchen renovations were subjected to a Royal Commision into corruption.
The inquiry found nothing, but kept the spotlight on unions for months.
It was led by Dyson Heydon, KC, formerly AC, disgraced former judge and the subject of multiple independent allegations of sexual misconduct, and appointed by, you guessed it, the Howard Liberal government.Now Premier Perrottet insists he called his Health Minister, who is a *lawyer*, for “health advice”, and the minister insists he just happened to be in the room with the head of the ambulance service, who personally intervened to arrange a dispatch for the Premier’s wife. Nothing to see here. No kitchen involved.
I think that meets the Liberal’s low bar for a Royal Commission… or maybe ICAC?

What Peter Poulos did to Robyn Preston was revenge-porn. He posted explicit photos of her to harm her because he thought he could gain from it.
Dominic Perrottet was slimy and defended him with weasel-words. As Brittany Higgins said, "The more things change the more they stay the same".

Sorry hun, but it doesn't work like that.
If the family members of the sitting premier allegedly solicited large donations from developers to advance their political agenda, then there's a strong public interest in finding out what happened.
Had the brothers of a sitting Labor premier been accused of the same thing, the Murdoch media would be screaming blue murder—and they would be justified in doing so.

Arguably the cashless rule makes it easier to collect punter"s funds. No limit on punter's losses. Either Dominic Perrottet made a lie of omission during the candidate vetting process, or the NSW Liberal Party has known about it all this time and thinks it's fine to wear a Nazi uniform.

In April 2022, #ClimateJustice protester Deanna “Violet” Coco blocked a single lane of motor vehicle traffic for 25 minutes. On Friday, she was sentenced to 15 months in prison, in a further escalation of #CriminalisationOfDissent in #NSWpol.
Today, conservative NSW Premier Dominic #Perrottet celebrated the penalty, saying it was "pleasing to see", because her #protest "put our way of life at risk" and that protests must never "inconvenience people".
What a puddle of putrid propaganda. The entire point of protest is to be inconvenient. Name a single successful historical protest movement that never inconvenienced anyone.
Just a couple of years ago, this kind of action would most likely have received (at most) a fine of a few hundred dollars. Yet the vulnerability of the status quo is betrayed by Perrottet's line about the risk to "our way of life".
Whose way of life is at risk from which reckless actions? Because the way of life, health, well-being & very lives of billions are being damaged or lost daily by the activities that Violet was protesting. She was, in a small way, trying to defend against far greater harm.
If you want the book thrown at her, what do you want thrown at the dirty energy companies & their political representatives in parliament?
