  1. The first Epimediums are starting to flower in the (recently expanded) woodland perennial section of our garden at Tilba Tilba. This is not a garden I have much to do with at all - and I don't really know for sure what varieties they might be - but I still really enjoy them every year! A few more went in this winter so looking forward to what might come out later in the season.

  6. My gloved hand, for scale.
This magneta dahlia is taller than me, I had to pull a large branch down to take this photo. It's still blooming with more petals to unfurl.
It is big, bold & beautiful!

  7. A snapdragon bloom had fallen off.
I picked it up, played with it - flower puppet fun.
Then, attached it to the plant it fell off from. It looks like it's eating its family 😅
(Caveat: I don't endorse eating your family)

  8. Quill-leaf #Lewisia.

This perennial herbal plant has medicinal benefits. Its roots are traditionally used to naturally alleviate stomach issues, diarrhea & skin irritations. Roots can be chewed to alleviate thirst. Medicinal use should only be done under experienced supervision, with correct dosage.

  9. #gardening report: Watching pea micro greens for harvest time. Started new batch of spicy microgreens. Checking on bulbs in the fridge, amaryllis and cally and canna and begonias in the garage. Gifting more of the July garlic harvest, and transplanting the bromeliads as something isn't right with them. #PlayingInTheDirt #microgreens #bulbs #amaryllis #perennials #WinterGardening
