Sowas wie eine Mitfahrt habe ich auch noch nicht gemacht. Aber hier ist sie, die Mitfahrt vom Terminal 3 zum Terminal 1 in der neuen Sky Line mit Siemens' Airval-System samt Führungsschiene. Ich bin mal gespannt, was Youtube draus macht, wenn plötzlich Bahninhalte in einem Luftfahrtkanal landen. Ich freu mich, wenn's angeguckt wird. War viel Arbeit, auch für unseren Cutter, der die Ansagen nun auswendig kann. ;)

Frankfurts neue Sky-Line ist seit 12:45 Uhr offen und der Artikel entsprechend ebenfalls online. Betriebszeiten sind erst einmal eingeschränkt, werden aber schrittweise hochgefahren. Aktuell sind grob 50 Prozent tatsächlich Fluggäste und 50 Prozent neugieriges Personal. :)

Nine Days
Vacation starts in nine days. Florida trip starts in 10 days. Getting close enough to fog my brain with vacationitis.
Not many people know this, but the Tomorrowland People Mover is THE BEST ride in all of Disney World. By far. Nothing even comes close (other than Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run). The People Mover RULES.

So, der erste Artikel von mir, den airliners.de zwischen den Jahren von der Paywall temporär löst, ist da. Ich habe mir Mitte des Jahres den neuen Siemens-People-Mover am Frankfurter Flughafen detailliert angeschaut und mit dem Projektleiter gesprochen. Das System arbeitet mit dem nicht so gerne gesehenen #translohr zum Lenken. Dazu ergänzend Folge-Toot beachten.

I’ve seen all the arguments for and against the #PeopleMover coming back to #Disneyland and it’s my opinion none of the issues are insurmountable if #Disney wants to do it and puts the money behind it. At this point it’s the executives at #Disney that are the only real roadblock and I’d be shocked if we get an announcement about a new Tomorrowland at #D23. I’m just going to assume they’ll keep kicking that can down the road until I hear otherwise.

(Paywall nach 2.400 Zeichen): Ich hatte letztens ja die Gelegenheit mir am Flughafen Frankfurt das neue People-Mover-System (verwandt mit #Translohr) von Siemens anzuschauen und entsprechend lang mit dem Flughafen zu sprechen. Es gibt also wieder ein spezialisiertes Bahnstück bei uns. 14.000 Zeichen mit vielen Fotos. Und eine Bahn als Titelbild konnte ich mir freilich nicht verkneifen. ;)

There could be surprises in the award of the RM742.95 million Kuala Lumpur International Airport (#KLIA) #aerotrain contract by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (#MAHB).
While market talk has it that three out of the four companies that failed to secure the contract at end-2021 had placed their bids last Monday, there is a possibility of the project reverting to the original winners.
