Don't know if it works, but I think I have found the perfect setup for DOS/Win9x games ! (And early Linux distros and Haiku/BeOS for the SMP part!)

Someone just donated a Fieldworks FW 8000-366 Pentium II PC… It runs but weighs 3.3kg… mostly of magnesium from the case I suspect. Not sure where I'll find room for it.

Threw away my oldest working computer today. It was from late 1997 and was file server for a few years (windows), then my mail server until 2010 (Linux), then it was a NAS again for a short while for archives (Linux again), then was retired.

I figured out what's going on with this HDD. Or rather, I remembered...this computer didn't originally have its HDD, and I installed one intending on installing Windows 98 to it.
I forgot about it. I got distracted (as you do) with other projects. I had intended on tracking down the restore disc, but had no luck and moved on to other things.
Does anyone have a restore disc for a Dell Dimension XPS R450? 😁
Anyways, this'll do for now. I'll have to hunt down drivers all manual like afterwards. :)

Picked up 7 PCs today, including; #gateway2000 (#Pentium & #PentiumII), #Cyrix 586 and a few modern-ish ones. Along with a whole stack of software. #chuffed -
My first computer was the #delloptiplex GX110 with a #pentiumii CPU, it had 100gb HDD space after I upgraded it from a 20gb hdd lol it had 256mb of #ram and was windows 98se but then upgraded to Windows XP home edition

Hab meinen alten #PentiumII ausgebuddelt. Aktuelles #Debian installiert (ohne desktop) und 160GB PATA platte leer gemacht und nur mit einer partition versehen. Beim booten zickt #Grub rum. Jemand eine Idee?
