I grew up in a Southern Pentecostal Evangelical church that believed in "the gifts of the spirit", including "speaking in tongues" (also known as glossolalia).

People have praised #Pentecostal #preacher Loran Livingston for a fiery #sermon in which he appeared to denounce the #Trump #Bible, which he called “disgusting,” #blasphemous, and a “ploy.”
But a closer look at the sermon shows us that, even if he was implying the Trump Bible had a problem, he wasn’t denouncing Trump, #Trumpism, or even #ChristianNationalism.

This is a very thought-provoking article for anyone that has any interest in, or experience with an #AI #chatbot OR a #psychic (or for that matter, a traveling #evangelist that goes from #church to church, especially those in the #pentecostal / #charismatic / #evangelical camp, since they often use the same techniques. Did I ever mention that in a galaxy far away I was a full-time #Christian worker? Most of my employment was in #evangelical and #pentecostal welfare and parachurch ministries. But I also held a couple of pastoral positions. This was last position before #deconversion , I held a dual role running the church office during the week and was the creative director overseeing the Sunday services. I also made us one of the first churches in our denomination to get into #socialmedia.
Now I'm a queer, trans, #agnosticatheist who couldn't give a shit about that stuff. 🤷♀️💅🏳️⚧️ -
