And for last week's ##52WochenFotoChallenge, #neon . I had a lot of trouble with this one, and am not entirely happy with this, but I'm moving on 😉 I do like the lines in the photo working toward the high-vis in the centre. I think the photo is a victim of over-editing, though. Too much vignette, too much playing with color.

This week's #52WochenFotoChallenge #StreetArt
I pass by this artwork "Overgrown" on the way to work, and what a difference it has made to this creepy bike tunnel https://front404.com/projects/overgrown/

This week's #52WochenFotoChallenge is Frog Perspective.
I was mildly dissatisfied with my first attempt, which was more "look up" than frog perspective.

This week's #52WochenFotoChallenge was not easy: #clouds
It has been gray and foggy here for two weeks; found a brief moment of non-fog earlier this week. Though the drama comes from post-processing for contrast, exposure and saturation; in reality the sky was grayish with less contrast.

For this week's #52WochenFotoChallenge , #BirdsEyeView
Was a busy week with little time to get out, so I went with what is around the house and then all-out on editing ;) Psychedelic is not really my style, but this is all about trying out new things...

New year, new #52WochenFotoChallenge ! Starting this week with #water
I very much look forward to continuing this weekly challenge this year- taking up these different kinds of photos brought me a great deal of experience in 2024; highly recommend!

This year's #52WochenFotoChallenge was an excellent way to stretch my photography, and take photos I wouldn't normally take. I very nearly got all 52 weeks- there were a few in the end of December when life just got too busy- but learned so much. Many thanks to @norberteder and looking forward to the 2025 challenge!

And this final week of #52WochenFotoChallenge : #Fernweh , a longing to travel.
I very much love long-distance train travel. It is a chance to sit and read a book while watching the landscape pass by; I have very little train travel planned, and would really like to plan a trip to somewhere far, far away by train...

For this week's #52WochenFotoChallenge
"Dreaming of summer"
I regularly photograph this bridge on my way home from work, so here I put the cold bundled up people on the stairs here and the ghosty summer swimmers together on the stairs.

A minimalistic bit of possibly the least minimalistic building on earth; bit of a curve in the Alhambra. Not entirely true to minimalism, but close enough for this week.

For this week's #52WochenFotoChallenge : Infinate
Here a view within the Alhambra, a seemingly endless monument of room after room of detailed work. The columns are said to have been inspiration for Escher's Endless staircase.

For this week's #52WochenFotoChallenge : Monochrome.
Another photo from Basel, this time from the Foundation Beyeler Museum. I much enjoyed the visit and found this sculpture by Thomas Schütte (title "Walser's Wife") stunning- and monochromatic, in this week's theme.

For this week's #52WochenFotoChallenge #texture
From the walls at Lohnhof in Basel, where I visited this week. The first buildings there were from the 12th century, though the walls are from much later- I think 17th century.
I had a hard time getting this to make any sense in terms of composition. I'll post the original photo that I cut this out of in the comments, any suggestions are welcome.

As the academic year starts again, we're back in the rhythm both at work and home. With two boys both involved in sports, the rhythmic sloshing of the washing machine is an integral part of life these days.
