I'll be a #pensioner in a not-so-distant future, so I've been brewing up some get-rich-quick schemes in earnest:
• Set up a dating site for octogenarians, and name it "Radiocarbon Dating"—hey, if it works for the Golden Bachelor...
• Start a crypto exchange and abscond with the funds to the Amazon—how hard can it be, really...
• Launch a social media platform, give it a strong, forthright, patriotic name, and start spreading all manners of lies—I'll run gun, prepper, My Pillow, and "stop the steal" adverts all day long...I say, "stop the steel" could be a good slogan for anti-gun activists.
In all seriousness, I'm genuinely worried about our country's fate, post 2024.

Intergenerational #inequality has always been evident (as one would expect; people accrue assets as they get older), but its getting worse.... for the rich this can be reduced by transfers & inheritance, but for the rest #pensioner poverty beckons....
This is just one more example of how the UK is a society run by the rich, for the rich, with scant regard of the social costs or misery such #class driven politics produces.
