On Friday evening we had a #JoyRide. And this one was a bit special. Fifty or so cyclists following a performer on a trike with a soundsystem through Liverpool on a gorgeous summer's evening.

From last night. The last photo is Danny from #PelotonLiv talking about the mini-roads and bike library projects, which led into me then talking about #FolkRidingBikes.
Which was mostly me enthusing about how riding bikes is FUN! And yes, it helps get cars off the streets, with climate-change, improve mental- and physical-health, and all manner of other good stuff. But all that follows from people realising that cycling is enjoyable.

Last night was a Zero-Car City special of Ignite Liverpool. We had a bunch of excellent talks (as ever).
I compered the evening, and also took a little timelapse of some of the second half (featuring me, @defnetmedia and @Styles, plus #PelotonLiv)

It's been a while since there was an official #PelotonLiv Friday night #JoyRide, but this week we got out #InTheSaddle for a jaunt round Everton, Vauxhall and the city centre.

Friday was the Season Finale #PelotonLiv #JoyRide, a festive parade. Once again we started as 2 rides: @murphyliverpool0 & I led one, Danny from Peloton the other, converging on Sefton Park.
There we met special guests Dogshow and a raft of young riders with their parents.
Led by the disco trike, and with bikes and riders festooned with LEDs we toured the park and surrounding streets.

On the latest #PelotonLiv #JoyRide we ventured over the water again.
This time starting from Port Sunlight and exploring the interior of the #Wirral peninsula, heading through the countryside over to Woodchurch and Bidston Moss and down to the sea at Leasowe.
Round the coast past New Brighton and along Egremont Prom to Birkenhead.
Burgers at Future Yard and then back to #Liverpool through the #tunnel with a police escort.

Remembered that I forgot to post the last #PelotonLiv #JoyRide #InTheSaddle video over here.
They're getting more popular so it split into two rides. Matt, Magdalena and I led the old-hands ride from Greenbank, through the Mystery then Calderstones and Sefton Parks, via the Dingle down to the Pier Head.
There we met the other ride and the special guests DogShow, who gave a live mobile #electronica set from a custom #disco #trike

Our route for the two-day #Overjoyed #PelotonLiv trip along the Welsh coast from Chester to Bangor, with an overnight stop at Dyserth. 78 miles (125.4km) in total.
