I think of bears as my spirit animal. I rarely see them in the area I moved to a few years ago but I used to see them often on my hikes where I used to live.

I've always admired the workmanship that goes into quiltmaking but I don't have the skill or patience. My quilted landscape #artwork is the closest I'll ever come to creating an actual quilt.

I photographed this deer and her two spotted fawns dining on the greenery next to the vet's in the middle of town where I used to live. There was so much wildlife around there, that kind of sight wasn't uncommon.

Any day is a good day for #flowers but especially #flowerfriday so today I bring you a sacred pink lotus with a stained glass effect. (Not real stained glass!)

I named my latest cat Poppy for obvious reasons. What cat doesn't love a garden full of #flowers to lounge around in and take in the sun?

This #beaver family was enjoying a tasty meal of reeds when I happened upon them. The #family that eats together, stays together...or so the saying goes. All my images are available as cards too, just in case you're looking for a Mother's Day card.

I have a thing for #bears I saw them all the time where I used to live ...it was always a thrill. I guess my bear isn't very well-camouflaged. I wanted to make him look festive instead.

This image is based on one of the #peacocks that roams wild in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, British Columbia. It's quite a sight to see (and hear - they're very loud!) I jazzed this handsome guy up a little with some #gems.
